The Arai Vector 2 is one of the most successful full-face helmets throughout the years. It is also one of the affordable helmets made by Arai. However, it’s been a long time when this helmet first arrived, but it is still one of the street/touring motorcycle helmets that are really popular among motorcyclists. And for that, the credit goes to ‘Arai’, who carefully developed this helmet and made it one of today’s best full-face motorcycle helmets.
But you already know that. Right?
If you’ve used its predecessor, the Arai Vector, then you know how Arai shaped and innovated its Vector-series helmets. The Arai Vector 2 is widely known as the most affordable premium full-face helmet. But that’s not all. There are other ‘reasons’ or should we say ‘stories’ that made Vector 2 successful throughout the years.
For instance, how many sequels do you find better than their predecessors? I’m sure only a few. The Arai Vector 2 is one fine helmet that is better than its predecessor in every way. It’s not as if the Arai Vector wasn’t a good helmet. It’s just that the Vector 2 is better in every way and that makes it a better choice over Arai Vector.
Arai always pays attention to helmet fit, probably more than any other manufacturer and this quality attracts many customers to the Arai helmets. It has excellent ventilation, fit, and field of vision. And the big news is that Arai’s Vector 2 helmet is a perfect example of helmet evolution. With Arai’s Vector 2 helmet, you will get an improved field of vision, an amazing ventilation system, and an internal shape that fits most head types. The Arai Vector 2 helmet is both SNELL M2015 and DOT approved.
So, if you are looking for an upgrade, then the Arai Vector 2 will be right for you. Nevertheless, you should learn more about this wonderful helmet by taking a good look at the following Arai Vector 2 Helmet Review.

Shell Design & Protection Level
At first look, you may not see any big difference in the improved features of Arai’s Vector 2. But, if pointed out, then you will realize that Vector 2 is better in every way compared to other helmets of this price range available on the market. The shell is lightweight and combined with Complex Laminate Construction technology (CLC).
Moreover, to provide ultimate protection or a safe ride for the rider, Arai included an exclusive single hybrid EPS liner. This single hybrid EPS liner is very rare and much more effective than the Dual EPS liner. Because this multi-density EPS liner is made of 5 different densities of foam and molded into a single piece. It has a unique benefit: the direct-fused contact area that each EPS cell shares with its neighboring cells creates mutual support. So, if one cell is crushed during impact, then the other surrounding cells provide support and absorb impact energy. This latest feature with varying foam densities helps in impact absorption during an accident and reduces many severe head injuries.
Ventilation System
As we said earlier, the ventilation system is another improved feature of the Vector 2 Helmet. The helmet is equipped with top vents and a chin vent to provide maximum airflow.
First, let’s talk about the top vents. Arai added the new ACF-2 front intake vent in the Vector 2 helmet. This oversized front intake vent can be controlled by a sliding door. This sliding door will give you full control over the airflow inside the helmet. Once you slide down the opening gate of the vent, not only will the airflow be stopped but the holes in the liner will also close.
Once cool air enters through the top vent, it passes through the liner to the riders. The ACR-2 tuned rear vent/wing will withdraw hot air from the helmet to keep the inside of the helmet cool and moisture-free. This ACR-2 Rear exhaust vent-wing combo is wind-tunnel tested to increase ventilation performance and helmet stability at high speeds.
Second is Arai’s Vector 2 Unique Patented Chin Vent Design. It has a two-position adjustment that allows cool air to be directed to either the face shield area or onto the facial area for cooling purposes.
Overall, we can say that the ventilation system of Arai’s Vector 2 is amazing. You will find plenty of cool air for the top of your head through the top vent and for the shield area through the chin vent if needed.
Interior & Comfort Level
As we all know, Arai has always focused on the comfort and fit of the helmet more than any other manufacturer. This dedication leads to the greater comfort and better fit level of Arai’s Vector 2 helmet interior. The Vector 2 has a removable interior comfort liner side/ temple pad with a 5 mm peel-away layer added to provide another level of customization. To give you more comfort and the required space in the facial area, Arai’s Vector 2 comes with cheek pads that also feature a 5mm peel-away layer added for a better fit.
Apart from this, Arai comes with the unique feature of a Hyper-Ridge Band, which is a newly sculpted lower reinforcement band that provides stability and a low center of gravity for a lightweight feel. Plus, the exhaust ports increase airflow while reducing noise levels at the same time.

The Arai Vector 2 helmet serves as a successor to the hugely popular Arai Vector helmet. The vision is excellent, thanks to the SAI face shield that provides a wider view. The interior liner is replaceable and provides excellent airflow around the head. The super-comfortable padded fabric is another plus of this helmet. A great ventilation system with a larger size adjustment lever as compared to the previous model and larger rear duct as well, which creates 50% more vacuum, is definitely an essential feature of the Arai Vector 2. The helmet is finely crafted as well.
The Vector 2 feels light when handling and the comfortable fit provides the helmet with a delicate balance that is very convenient while riding. When it comes to visual appeal, the quality of paint and the finish is excellent. The durability is incredible, the helmet comes with a 5-year warranty, and the moving parts work so precisely that we feel it’s going to last a lot longer than five years. The chin pad could use longer and thicker padding underneath, but that’s the only con that this helmet bears. In comparison to all those pros, this downside amounts to almost nothing. Arai delivered yet again with this helmet. Arai Vector 2 is a significant step up from the Arai Victor.
