Safety & Protection
Shoei has always taken the safety of their motorcycle helmets very seriously. The outer shell of the Shoei X-Spirit 3 is made of a material called AIM+, which was developed by Shoei. It is a complex 6-layered composite material made of organic fibers and multi-composite fibers for a shock-absorbent shell. The helmet was tested by SHARP in 2016 and scored the maximum five-star safety rating.
It is also fitted with an Emergency Quick Release System, which allows emergency services to easily remove the helmet in the event of an accident without causing further injury. The EPS liner has different densities with varying shock-absorbing levels to optimally absorb impact. The helmet is also equipped with an easy-to-use Double-D ring fastener to ensure your helmet is always perfectly adjusted.
Ventilation & Airflow
Proper ventilation is extremely important for a high-performance racing helmet. Shoei has really stepped up their game this time with the X-Spirit 3, which offers excellent ventilation performance and a sharp aerodynamic design.
The X-Spirit 3 has 6 closable air inlets and 6 air outlets for optimum ventilation performance. The helmet is also equipped with a ventilation system on the lower part of the helmet for better aerodynamic performance.
It also features a new cheek pad vent system with active cooling to keep the rider refreshed at all times.

Comfort Level
The helmet comes in four different outer shell sizes: 1) XS-S, 2) M, 3) L, and 4) XL-XXL, each perfectly tailored with compact dimensions to fit every head size. The X-Spirit 3’s modular pad system allows for individual adjustments.
Shoei has also made the interior of the helmet adjustable for extra comfort. They made the comfort lining adjustable so you can rotate parts by 4 degrees around the horizontal axis. This allows for a better vision from inside the helmet.
The X-Spirit 3’s interior is also fully removable, washable, and replaceable.
Limited Edition Peter Hickman Trooper Helmet
In June 2024, Shoei announced the special limited edition ‘Trooper’ Shoei X-Spirit 3 helmet. Trooper is the premium British beer inspired by the heavy metal band Iron Maiden and handcrafted by Robinsons Brewery. The limited-edition helmet is an exact replica of the one sported by Peter Hickman during the Isle of Man Senior TT Race (sponsored by PokerStars and Monster Energy). Hickman unveiled the helmet at an exclusive ticket-only TT event for Bennetts’ policyholders. Shoei announced that only 666 replicas would be made available and that each helmet would be individually numbered. The Shoei X-Spirit 3 Trooper helmet is priced at £799.99 and also comes with the Trooper Limited Edition Box Set, which includes a Trooper merchandise goody bag, as well as a limited edition A3 Trooper art print encased in a metal presentation tin.
