Well, this is the question every novice and advanced rider would ask on a regular basis. So, we finally decided to reply to them. It is just in the nature of every motorcyclist to go faster than surrounding vehicles. Even though it is quite risky, we all love feeling the wind while riding. It may seem very easy to ride faster just by moving the throttle, but it isn’t.
Riding faster is not all about using the throttle at its fullest. If you do that, then you will also suffer the consequences.
What you need is a set of skills that will allow you to go faster while staying safe and without breaking any law. In fact, the right question should be – “How can you ride faster safely?”
Riding faster is not all about the passion of leaving other motorcyclists or vehicles behind. Many riders need to run faster to reach their destination on time or many racers run faster to reduce their lap time. So, basically, there is no single tip for riding faster. You must improvise accordingly. It means, if you need to reach the destination on time, then you need to learn a few basic things that are quite different from the ones required to run faster on a racetrack.
So, we are going to discuss different situations and how to work on your cornering skills.
Top Tips for Riding Faster on a Motorcycle
Getting There Quicker
As I said before, using the throttle and shifting the bike into top gear is not going to help you to run faster. It will be considered an act of foolishness. You will only reduce your safety while riding on the road.
Let’s suppose you are going on a trip on your motorcycle. And you need to reach the destination as soon as possible. Then, what you need to do is, “Stop less.”
I am sure, you must be wondering, what kind of tip is that?
But the truth is, that’s the best method to reach long distances in the minimum amount of time. For example, when we go on a trip with a car or motorcycle, we make all types of stops such as food, toilet, gas, and even stretch our legs. But these continuous stops only waste our time.
What we need to do is like I said, “Stop Less.”
This means that you should try to do all of your activities in one stop. Otherwise, any single, extra stop will make you want to ride faster than you were before, trying to make up for lost time.

Reducing Lap Time
If you are a racer who needs to know how to ride faster, I would suggest that you take professional classes instead of searching on the internet. There is no point in learning a few tricks when it comes to professional racing. What you need is a professional racing course where experienced instructors are available to teach you, “How to reduce the lap time?”
There are many professional organizations available around the world that can help you to learn how to do that. Nevertheless, I can give you one small tip from my own experience, which is, “Work on your corners.”
Faster Motorcycles
These days, many big motorcycle manufacturers are providing more torque and power in motorcycles, which only a few riders can handle. But what you need is a motorcycle that is compatible with your riding skills.
Plus, we know that companies are working hard on power and torque, but a true rider knows that it is not enough to run faster and smoother. What you also need is grip and suspension. If you can customize your suspension accordingly, then you can get improved acceleration, gripping, stopping power, and cornering ability.
Speaking of a lateral grip and cornering ability, many riders still have a lack of confidence in lean angles, and when approaching corners. They think that their bike is approaching at a speed much too fast for the corner. But what you need is confidence in your ability.
So, in my opinion, whenever you are about to approach a corner, don’t be afraid of your speed. Remember that even when we look out the car window at a very low speed the scenery is still blurred as we go by. Try to look as far around the corner as you can, then you will not only be able to take a corner at high speed, but it will be safer as well.
Conclusion
